Rebecca Evans AM, newly elected Assembly Member for Gower, has attended the official opening of the new Gowerton Primary School.
The school, which the pupils have been in since the start of the school term, was developed jointly funded by Swansea Council and the Welsh Government, and has united pupils on one site for the first time in the school's history. The new £6.8 million Gowerton Primary School has been abuzz with activity since lessons got under way at the new school and it is already a hit, with pupils and staff saying they are feeling inspired by the light and airy modern environment. Remarking on the new school, Mrs Evans said: “As well as providing pupils with a fantastic, modern learning environment, the new school will offer improved community facilities and outdoor spaces for sports and recreation. "It represents a significant investment in the children of Gowerton on the part of the Welsh Government and Swansea Council." Comments are closed.
