As the Welsh Government's Jobs Week kicks off, Rebecca Evans AM, Assembly Member for Gower, has welcomed the announcement of 100 new jobs being created at BT in Swansea.
BT is expanding its customer service contact centre by creating 100 new jobs, with support from the Welsh Government. Rebecca Evans said: "From helping small home grown enterprises with their business rates, to attracting major foreign companies to invest in Wales, Welsh Government works hard all year round to support business. "This is important because we know what a difference having job makes people - from offering a better quality of life to helping promote good mental health. "The Swansea BT jobs announcement is one of the first in a week of exciting news about new jobs being created right across Wales because of Welsh Government support." BT is creating the new roles in order to meet its commitment to answering 90 per cent of its customers’ calls in the UK by April 2017. The new recruits will work at BT Tower in Swansea where an additional floor will be refurbished and refitted to accommodate the new business. Comments are closed.
