Labour Assembly Members, Rebecca Evans, David Rees, Jeremy Miles, Mike Hedges, Julie James, Lee Waters, Joyce Watson and Eluned Morgan - who represent constituencies in south and west Wales - have shown their support for LGBT history month. The AMs firmly believe that no one should ever be discriminated against or treated unfairly due to their sexuality or their gender identity. They warn that LGBT progress cannot be taken for granted. The Assembly Members said: “Attitudes towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people have been transformed for the better in the last 20 years, but we cannot take these advances for granted and we cannot be complacent. Intolerance is rising across the world and it is essential that we continue to stand up for, respect, and value diversity.” Comments are closed.
