As part of the Citizens Advice Big Energy Week, Rebecca Evans AM, Assembly Member for Gower, is holding a drop in event to offer constituents a better understanding of energy, and how they can better manage it. Mrs Evans said: “Constituents can drop in and speak to experts who can help them to gain a better understanding of energy bills, which can be quite confusing. They can offer help with reading your meter, provide advice on the best ways to pay your bill, and give an insight into SMART meters. They can also offer handy hints and top tips on choosing a supplier, and give an introduction to the Priority Services Register.” The drop in sessions will take place in Rebecca Evans AM's, Constituency Office, 9 Pontarddulais Road, Gorseinon, on Friday 4th November, between 10.30am and 3pm. Mrs Evans added: “This drop in event is a chance to become more enlightened about energy, which can be good news for both household finances and budgeting, and our environment." Jackie Preston, Chief Executive, Citizens Advice Swansea Neath Port Talbot said: ''We are looking forward to working with Rebecca to help raise awareness of some of the ways we can all save money on household energy costs. Budgeting on limited incomes is hard these days and at Citizens Advice we have a wealth of information and experience we can bring to help managing money be less of a struggle.'
