Rebecca Evans AM, Assembly Member for Gower, is encouraging young people in her constituency to apply to take part in the British Council’s Future Leaders Connect. Future Leaders Connect is the global network for emerging policy leaders between the ages of 18 and 35. It is a long-term programme to build a community of emerging leaders from around the world who have big ideas and want to change the world through policy making. Last year, out of 11,000 applications from across the world, 50 future leaders were chosen to take part in the initiative, 2 of whom were applicants from Wales. Rebecca Evans AM said: “In many ways the world is getting smaller, and through new technologies we are able to work more fully with others from across the globe. It is vital that those young people who will be the future leaders and policy makers can work with an international outlook to overcome the challenges they will face on a local, national and international basis.” Applications are now open and will close on Sunday 13th May, at 23.59 UK time.
